Dive Master
A PADI Divemaster Course at H2O Divers is the perfect way to start your professional diving career.
During this course you will work closely with our PADI Instructors, assisting in teaching diving courses, helping to run our daily dives and expanding your dive knowledge as you work towards becoming a dive professional. Each member of the team has been carefully appointed by our Chief Instructor and a senior member of H2O Divers management. The management team has had many years of experience working in busy dive centres and managing them. Through our experience we have learnt what makes a good crew; and we don't just have good Divemasters and Instructors, we want the best.

What are the pre-requisites for the PADI Divemaster Course?
Before you can start you course you must be 18 years of age have:
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver Cert
Logged 40 scuba dives
Completed EFR Primary and Secondary Care training within 24 months
Medical clearance for diving by a physician dated within 12 months at the time of certification
What can a Divemaster do?
Once you have completed your training and qualified as a PADI Divemaster, you can:
Work in the diving industry, guiding divers on daily dives
Assist Instructors with student training
Private guide for certified divers.
Teach PADI Skin Diving and Discover Snorkelling
Conduct Scuba Reviews for certified divers
Lead certified divers on Discover Local Diving programs
If qualified as a Discover Scuba Diving Leader, conduct DSDs in a pool/ confined open water (Local Laws permitting).
After completing the corresponding training, conduct:
Digital Underwater Photographer specialty courses under the direction of a PADI Instructor
Emergency Oxygen Provider courses
Further your diving career and increase your responsibilities through Instructor Development training
How long will it take?
At H2O Divers, our PADI Divemaster training course is designed to maximize the opportunities you have to work with certified divers and guests in a full range of situations and environments. As a result our PADI Divemaster Course programme will last between 4 to 6 weeks (internship min 3 months). We do advise all Divemaster candidates to start work on the Divemaster theory before starting the course so that you can take full advantage of the in-water and diving opportunities when you get here.

What will I be doing? During your course you will be involved in a wide range of activities which are designed to develop your dive leadership skills through independent study sessions, classroom presentations, examinations, skills development, water skills and stamina tests and practical application. How much does it cost:
The cost of the PADI Divemaster Internship Course at H2O Divers is FREE! If you are wishing to complete the PADI Divemaster Course as a stand alone course the price will ?600.
Other possible costs:
We advise all Divemaster candidates to have their own equipment. If you have to rent it from us it will cost 25 Euros per day.
Before you can qualify as a Divemaster you must have completed 60 dives
It is possible that these might not be completed during the Divemaster Course (you should be able to log at least 30 to 40 dives as part of the course).
Any additional dives required after the course will need to be paid for at a rate to be discussed with the Dive Centre.
