If you are standing on the central square in Bugibba looking out towards the sea, you can go either left towards St Paul’s Bay, or right towards Qawra Point along the beach promenade. On the left side underneath the seafront cafes and restaurants, there are everywhere entry and exit points to/from the water (you just have to find your way down to the water between the restaurants; alternatively, you walk over the hill down to the harbour, and where you have on both sides of the road two places that sell very nice ice cream, you have direct access to the water). Whoever likes it a bit more “lonesome” will go right; if you walk to the right along the beach promenade for app. 10-15 minutes, you’ll reach Qawra Point. This is a small protected beach with even a little bit of (roughly grained) sand and very clear water – and a small bar with a patio above the beach (we mean the café outside / on the right of the little castle, not inside). There are enough parking spaces, and from all pensions and hotels in Bugibba and Qawra it is only a short walk.
